Raphael Haus presenting at the Circular Design Deep Dive. Hamburg 2022.

Hi. My name is Raphael Haus, Maker & Designer from Lüneburg, Germany.

Philosophy

In a complex world, I strive to bring simplicity and innovation through thoughtful design.

I’m Raphael Haus, a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of leadership experience. Driven by a love for nature and minimalism, I believe in the power of design. My education is rooted in a deep philosophy of a designer’s responsibility to shape not only products but also usage innovation and ecosystems.

I constantly challenge myself to strip away the unnecessary and aim toward circular design and sustainability. Creating eco-friendly and functional products gives me a deep sense of meaning in my work. I would love to help you target long-term impact and sustainable solutions.

Vision

Happening is EGNAHC.

The discipline of design has drastically changed—yet it remains one of the most powerful forces in the universe. Remember: every object you touch has once been designed, whether physical or digital.

However, our ICT paradigm defines entirely new rules of collaboration. Today, the design process is shifting—from individual designers to real-time networks.

That’s why I see design as a complex distributed discipline. The design of the systems and infrastructures we live in has captured my interest and constantly sparks inspiring ideas in my mind—especially with the rise of distributed digital fabrication technologies that are becoming increasingly accessible.

Imagine a world where anyone can make almost anything.

I belive in local manufacturing, low-tech, and DIY approaches as pathways to sustainability, mindfull consumption and sufficiency.

At the same time, I focus on the cutting edge of emerging technologies and new ways of thinking.
With my partners I aim to overcome the limitations of organisational path dependence—and create bold, visionary design for a new kind of post-extractive economy.

work

Let’s innovate togheter.

I collaborate with individuals, teams, and companies of any size—what matters most is a foundation of eye-level communication, mutual trust, and transparency.

My expertise spans circular strategies, UI/UX design, 3D printing, digital fabrication, and human-centered systems. Whether we’re prototyping a product, refining a user interface, or exploring regenerative design solutions, I bring a mindset that bridges hands-on making with systems thinking.

I thrive in open, exploratory environments—especially when we’re co-creating for long-term impact, not just short-term fixes. If you’re curious, values-driven, and willing to rethink assumptions, we’ll likely work well together.

Let’s build what matters
